April 12, 2026, Fethiye. In the Adult Salsa On Two final of the WDSF Caribbean Dances Competitions, Ege Dönmez and Naz Dönmez, dancing for Türkiye, left their Italian rivals behind and took first place. This was more than a competition win. It was concrete proof of how far Turkish DanceSport has come on the international stage, and a moment of real pride for Espeki.

Türkiye’s WDSF Victory in Fethiye 2026

The WDSF Caribbean Dances Competitions, part of the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) calendar, took place in Fethiye on April 11 and 12, 2026. Competing against athletes from Italy and other countries across salsa, bachata and several Latin disciplines, Ege and Naz Dönmez finished the Adult Salsa On Two final with 95 points and stood on the top step of the podium.

The victory did not begin in Fethiye. In December 2025 the same couple took third place in the world in the Salsa On One category at the WDSF World Championship in Istanbul, and Naz Dönmez currently holds 6th place in the WDSF world ranking for Salsa Shine. A career at this level means every detail behind the scenes is managed with care: training, technique and, of course, what the athletes wear.

Where Does the Difference Start in a Dance Competition Costume?

On the WDSF floor, the first impression is measured in seconds. Athletes preparing for international competition treat the costume as a performance tool, not as decoration. It must never restrict a fast Salsa On Two sequence; legs, arms and torso rotations need full stretch. A skirt that turns with the body, details that catch the light and colors that match the partner’s costume leave a mark on the judges without anyone noticing. Warm-up, semi-final and final are danced in the same costume, so it has to perform for hours. Champions rehearse in their costumes for weeks before the event, and the fabric has to survive that.

Over the years Espeki has earned its place inside the DanceSport community as a dance competition costume brand that meets these expectations. The success of Turkish athletes on the international stage, the Fethiye champions among them, is a source of pride for Espeki as well.

The Relax by Espeki Collection, from the Same Atelier

Relax by Espeki is made in the same atelier, by the same tailors, as Espeki’s competition costumes, and it is built for all the hours between the stage and the practice floor.

Latin Dance Wear is designed for salsa, bachata and the Latin competition disciplines: cuts that catch the stage light, a stretch construction that follows the body and fabric that keeps its shape through long use give the freedom of movement WDSF competition demands while carrying Espeki’s stage aesthetic.

Dance Practice Wear is for the weeks of rehearsal behind a final like Fethiye; built for function and comfort, it keeps the body’s movement clearly visible so technique can be coached, and its durable fabric stands up to an intense schedule.

Standing with Turkish DanceSport

Fethiye 2026 showed once more that Turkish DanceSport holds a strong position on the international stage. Behind that success is an ecosystem: the federation, the coaches, the athletes and the brands that support them. Espeki continues to stand with the DanceSport community through its contribution to that ecosystem.
